Looking for a safe, fun and caring environment for your dog while you're at work or away for the day?
At Hair of the Dog, daycare is designed to feel just like a second home. Your dog will spend their day enjoying companionship, enrichment, playtime, rest periods and walks, all within a calm family environment.
Unlike larger daycare facilities, I keep numbers carefully managed to ensure every dog receives individual attention, supervision and care throughout the day.
Whether your dog loves playing with friends, exploring the countryside or simply snoozing on the sofa after a walk, their day is tailored to suit their personality and needs.
A Day at Hair of the Dog
7:30am onwards – Arrivals & settling in
Morning – Playtime, enrichment and socialising, followed by countryside or secure field walk
Afternoon – Rest time, cuddles and relaxation
Late Afternoon – Garden time, enrichment and socialising, followed by countryside or secure field walk
6–7pm – Home time
Daily photo and report updates so you can see exactly what they've been getting up to.
Meet the Gang
Many of our daycare dogs become regular members of the Hair of the Dog family, building friendships and confidence as they spend time together.
From energetic adventures in the secure field to relaxing naps after a busy morning, every day is filled with fun, companionship and plenty of tail wags.
You'll often find Buster welcoming everyone in, while our regular daycare dogs enjoy playing, exploring and relaxing together in a safe and structured environment..
Drop-Off & Collection Times:
Weekdays
Drop-off: From 7:30am - 8:00am
Collection: 6:00pm -7:00pm
Weekends
Drop-off: From 8:30am - 9:00am on Saturday
Please note: There are no Sunday drop-offs, pick-ups only.
Collection: 5:00pm
Daycare Requirements (House rules)
To ensure the safety and wellbeing of all dogs in our care, the following requirements apply:
• We require proof of your dog being fully vaccinated, including Kennel Cough, flea and worm treatment.
• Any vaccination incubation periods must have elapsed before attendance
• Well-socialised and comfortable around other dogs
• Minimum age of 6 months
• No unneutered dogs
• No Bitches in season
• We take Small to Medium size dogs (anything from a Chihuahua to a Labrador)
• High-energy or overly excitable dogs unsuitable for a group environment
Dogs attending daycare must be able to interact safely and appropriately with both people and other dogs.
Should any aggression or behaviour arise that compromises the safety or welfare of other dogs, the owner will be contacted immediately and the dog must be collected by them or a nominated emergency contact aged 18 or over.

Weekday Daycare
1 Dog - £35 per day
2 Dogs - £62 per day
3 Dogs - £89 per day
All dogs must be from the same household.
Weekend Daycare
1 Dog - £44 per day
2 Dogs - £67 per day
3 Dogs - £90 per day
All dogs must be from the same household.
Bank holiday charges apply where applicable
Daycare includes local pick up and drop off, supervised socialisation, enrichment, rest periods, local or secure field walks, and personalised care within our home-from-home environment.
No large daycare facilities, no overcrowded playgroups, just personalised care, structured routines and a genuine home-from-home experience.
